7075 7001 7178 alloys are high strength in particular the very high tensile strength. Not as corrosion resistant as the 5000 and 6000 series of alloys, they are typically coated one way or another. In aircraft applications they are normally found in the Alclad form, that is they have been coated in pure aluminum. They are not the best alloy for anodizing compare to other, however they could be colour anodized as well.
